The white markings around its midsection resemble sarashi, with the differing placement between male and female Croagunk corresponding to different styles worn by men and women. Croagunk may have been based on the poison dart frog. Synergy Focused boosts your Synergy gauge whether you win or lose, for example, which is great for Mewtwo (as the Psychic-type takes an eternity to fill that gauge). In Pokkn Tournament DX, Croagunk is the only playable character that is also a support Pokmon. The others can be very nice too, though, so it’s for you to decide which works best. It’s a solid choice, allowing you to capitalize on a win or helping recover from a loss. Standard will max out your Support Pokémon gauge at the start of the next round (for the Pokémon you didn’t use) if you won the previous one, or max out both and give you a Synergy boost if you lost.

The latter isn’t competitive at all, having random effects between rounds, but the choice really depends on your playstyle. There are six different Cheer Skills available: Standard, Synergy Focused, Pressure Focused, Support Focused, Special and Whimsical. This isn’t only adorable, but it can give you a huge gameplay advantage. Between rounds, the player’s advisor, Nia, will Cheer for you and your battle Pokémon.
